The company was established in 1992 as a private company called "Construction of Special Vehicles Zbigniew Szczęśniak", which, according to the demand at that time, specialized in the repair of fire engines. Acquired experience has allowed the Company to gain a deep knowledge of these vehicles and to evaluate both advantages and disadvantages.
The next stage in the company's development was the production of new fire engines built on domestic chassis. In addition to the production of specialized equipment, the company also manufactured manned cabins which were scarcely available on Polish market at that time.
Looking back, it can be said that this was a crucial moment in the company's business, which set the direction of its further development. As a result, in 1998 the company began replacing domestic chassis by ones imported from reputable manufacturers. It also expanded the range of its crew cabins. Vehicles production has been divided into three main product groups: firefighting, military and specialized vehicles (such as water laboratories, communication vehicles and heavy workshop vehicles).
The following years were a period of dynamic and sustained development for the company. We implemented the very first integrated fire protection company in Poland - Integrated Quality System in accordance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and AQAP 2110. A number of innovative technical solutions were developed and patented, the machinery was modernized, Internal Control System introduced and the range of offered vehicles systematically developed, thereby increasing the company's production and market share .
As a result of the enlarged corporate structure, in 2013 the company changed the address of head office, legal form and logo. The name of the Company was changed to "SZCZĘŚNIAK Special Vehicles Ltd.", under which it currently operates and is recognized on both domestic and international markets. The family character of the Company with entire ownership of Polish capital remained unchanged.
The Company's core business is research and development, which aims for elaboration, testing and implementation of innovative solutions in the field of technology and construction of special vehicles.
